THE STUDIO
At Julian Mensah Interiors, we believe that condo living is more than just occupying space—it’s about experiencing luxury and sophistication at every turn. Our passion lies in transforming high-rise condos and boutique commercial spaces into refined sanctuaries that blend functionality with unmatched style.
JULIAN MENSAH
Julian Mensah is a Canadian born Ghanaian Designer based in Toronto. His parents are Ghanaian-Canadian immigrants who understood the value of boldly forging their paths in a place they often called, “The Land of Opportunity”. Therefore, they allowed their children to fully decide the direction of their careers. Julian always possessed a creative streak and thrived on all things design, but he initially did not see Interior Design as a viable career path, as Black men are scarcely represented in the industry. After completing his Bachelor of Applied Arts at the University of Guelph-Humber, he led a successful career for 11 years at the world’s leading high street fashion retailer. Here, he successfully held many impactful roles in the areas of Visual Merchandising and Product Management. This lengthy experience fostered his love for both commercial and residential interiors.
In 2022, he founded a namesake design studio: Julian Mensah Interiors. JMI is committed to creating beautiful, commercial and residential spaces in Toronto and beyond. Its founder’s lifelong predisposition for great design and creative solutions defines the nature of attentive care which every project under JMI will receive.

STUDIO ETHOS
Rooted in a Pan-African perspective and shaped by lived experience, the work blends contemporary design with cultural storytelling. Each project is an opportunity to create something personal, warm, and grounded—spaces that honour heritage while embracing modern life. There’s a focus on natural materials, soulful textures, and subtle symbolism, drawing on values like knowledge, community, and good living. The goal isn’t just to make things look good, but to make them feel right—thoughtful spaces with meaning, depth, and a quiet sense of care.
